Who operates this store? How does it all work?
This store is operated and run by Leon Macey of Mithras and orders are processed via our parent company Obdurate Ltd. This store is hosted by Big Cartel and integrates with MailChimp who handle our order confirmation emails and host our mailing list.
What are the postage charges? Is postage included in the prices?
Postage and Packing is is automatically added when you select the destination country at checkout. Charges are also shown on each item page.
Do you send items via registered post?
Some items are sent via registered post (see item descriptions) but most are not due to reasons of economy. We do obtain proof of posting for all items we ship. If you would like your order send via registered post please contact us before purchasing as it will incur an additional charge.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We try and ship orders out as soon as possible, but please allow 28 days for your order to arrive with you. Please contact us using the contact form if you have any queries.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit card payments via Stripe as well as PayPal payments in our store checkout.
Can I pay by cheque, cash or another payment method?
Sorry but we only accept payments via the payment services noted above.
How safe is my payment data? How is my data going to be processed?
If you submit an order via this website Big Cartel will process your order and your payment details will be handled and processed by our secure 3rd party payment providers, PayPal and Stripe. We will process the data you provide to us via Big Cartel when placing your order to fulfill your order. Your order data will be passed to MailChimp to enable us to send you transactional emails. By submitting an order to us, you agree that we may process your information in accordance with these terms and you acknowledge that the information you provide and submit will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.
What is your data retention policy? Is my data secure?
We adhere to the Data protection act and the GDPR regulations and only retain a minimum amount of data; your order data will be securely retained for accounting purposes to comply with UK tax law and other legal obligations. Will I receive an order confirmation email?
If you place an order with us you will receive transactional emails relating to your order including order confirmations and a shipping confirmation when your order has been shipped.
Will you spam me with unwanted emails?
We will never send you unsolicited emails (marketing or otherwise) without your consent and outside transactional emails will never email you unless you join our mailing list or contact us first.
How do I join your mailing list?
If you want to sign up to the Mithras mailing list you can do it multiple ways; via the pop-form in this shop, via the mailing list link in the shop menu, via our facebook page or when purchasing something in our webstore by checking the "Subscribe to our email list" box before placing your order.
How does the mailing list work? Why should I join?
Mithras will use the information you submit when joining our mailing list via any of the above methods to be in touch with you for the purposes of sending you special offers, discount codes and Mithras-related news and updates only. We use MailChimp to deliver our emails and manage our mailing lists. If you join we'll send you some discount codes to say thanks!
If I join, how are my details used? How is my data processed?
By submitting any of the above mailing list forms or by checking the "subscribe to our email list" box when submitting an order to us, you confirm you actively consent to be contacted by email for the purposes mentioned above. We use MailChimp as our email automation platform. By clicking submit to join our mailing list or checking the "Subscribe to our email list" box during checkout, you agree that we may process your information in accordance with these terms and you acknowledge that the information you provide and submit will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms. We will treat your information with respect and your details will never be shared or sold to any third party.
How do I update my details or what if I don't want to receive further emails?
If you have subscribed to one of our email lists and want to update your details or have now changed your mind and would now like to stop receiving emails, you can update your details or unsubscribe at any time from the footer of any emails we send you or by contacting us using the contact form on this page. If you unsubscribe we will not email you again.
